Tom Manners' thumbhole tactical stock was a joint effort by MCS and GA Precision. It comes in two configurations, a right-hand-only model with a flare on the left for your thumb, and an ambidextrous version. The fore-end is 1.75 wide at the tip and rounded to a flat beavertail. The fore-end is wide enough to accept a #7 barrel which is about 1.125" diameter at the tip of the stock. The foreward edge of the comb is also relieved for bolt access.
The MCS GAT comes standard with a high cheekpiece and adjustable spacer-type butt system, with a 1" Pachmyer DeCellerator pad. The butthook on the underside is long enound to ride a sand-bag while allowing you to steer the stock with the non-trigger hand. Default stock weight is 3.5 lbs but Tom can build the stock as light as 2.8 pounds. The MCS GAT is normally inletted for the Rem 700 short action, but it can be special-ordered with inletting for other actions.
