Hi all, There have been a number of posts about feeding the 6mm BR from a magazine, but most have wondered off onto other topics. What I was wondering is has anyone got the 6mmBR to sucessfully feed from a Remington 700 action? What modifications if any were needed to make it feed better and can you give details of the problems encountered and fixes. Is there an after market single stack magazine that is made to fit the Remington 700? Are they more reliable. Any input or comments would be greatly appreciated. Regards

One way is to put the Rem 700 action in a Tube Gun Kit Sleeve and here is the link : http://www.tubegun.net/. Alot of folks have messed with getting a 6BR to feed from a box type magazine, but it is tough to do. I am doing the Tube Gun Kit now, and do not have it back from the smith, yet. I will let others comment of getting it to feed because that is not my forte. Thanks.

Thanks for the input, Just out of curiosity are there any custom actions that feed reliably with the 6BR? Viper, BAT, Nesika, etc??? Muzza

I just bought a 6mmBR LRS barrel and magazine for my Blaser Safari Synthetic stock. It feeds fine with the factory magazine. Not to mention it shoots into the mid .2's with Lapua factory 77gr's. The Blaser LRS is already set up with a ten round box magazine and fully adjustable stock. Not cheep, but they are available now for a couple of dealers in 6mmBR. Good luck/Dave Funk

Muzza, I am in a similar case, I have a Rem 700 in 7br, I will try the H-S Precision Magazine for the 22-250, which have longer lips than the 308 version (the mag is single posicion feeding).

Thanks Vlad, Let me know how you go with this option. I have heard recently on the grape vine that they may be changing the rule book for HunterClass here down under, to allow standard BR rifles similar to Varmint for score in the US, this means I can use a single shot action and not have to bother with the magazine.
