I have a 6.5BR Improved. I'm going to cut the 23" barrel to 18". It has a 1 in 9 twist. It shoots the 140 gr. bullets fine now, at 2525 fps. It will be in a pistol for 1K shooting and it still should be supersonic if I can get 2200 fps. My question is: Will cutting it to 18" still keep bullet stable 1000Yds?
