Hi guys, I am new to the board and after reviewing tons of information and the thoughts of many experienced benchrest shooters, I must say I am impressed with the knowledge on this board. I have a couple of real good varmint guns, but this year I want to put together a decent bench gun. I have settled on the 6br chamber cut for the Lapua brass. I am talking to Jerry Stiller about putting together this gun based on a Diamonback action and a Shilen barrel. I am thinking 1 in 10 on the barrel twist as I will want to use light to medium bullets up to 95gr. Hopefully I'm headed down the right path, as I am fairly new to the benchrest game. I'll still be punching paper for fun and launching ground squirrels with this rig, but I may also find my way into a few matches. Any thoughts or comments are very welcome.
