chaz,

I have done some testing of the 108 Eubers with a 8" twist
6BR-Improved(Dasher).

I used RL-15, Varget, and N140. Did not have any luck getting the Eubers to shoot/group. At the same time, I was getting good results with 107-SMK's and 105-Lapua's.

Not trying to slam the Eubers in any way. Just can't get them to perform very well either.

Happy Shooting

We just got our 115 Tubb samples from the UPS guy today. I compared them with some 108 Eubers. Big difference. The Eubers carry max diam much higher up towars the nose. The 115s are still a secant bullet, but with a fairly long, smooth taper. It really is a very elegant looking bullet, reminiscent of a 6.5mm 139 Scenar. We'll try to get some photos up in the bullet comparator tonight. Preview:

The Eubers need more throat to get best accuracy.I tried 800 of them in 6BR and using my standard load lost a little accuracy.I sent some to Henry Childs for evaluation and they are extremely consistant but a tad low on bc.If your using the 107 Sierra as your baseline the Eubers will engage the barrel 0.076 further up so you need a longer throat to keep them away from the donut. The 115 Tubb is only 0.046 longer than the Sierra and is actualy 0.030 shorter than the Euber.I shoot the Eubers in my 6mm-06 and they will handle 3500 fps without coming apart enroute to the target. In a 6br you woud need a much longer throat in my opinion and then accuracy should be just as good as The Clinch Rivers or sorted Sierras.

lynn,

Where do you seat the Eubers at?
( In the Lands / On the Jam / or some Jump )

My initial tril with the 108 Eubers that Lynn sent shot very well with a full load. I ordered 1200 based on that grouping even though the BC is only 0.46 (the short ogive and large meplat are the reasons for the low BC). I have a very long neck cartridge so don't have the seating problem that Lynn mentioned.

Full loads since the first trial have notgrouped well but several light loads were fantastic groups.

With the low BC, I do not plan to shoot them in a big match and also because I have not come up with a good shooting full load.

Well guys i watched Burt Selzer (sp) shoot them at 600 yards in a 6/284 and he won.His agg if i'm not mistaken was around 2.9xx inches which was very good.I don't know if he visits this forum or not maybe he can be persuaded to tell us his load and seating?

Send the moderator of this board a picture of your heavy gun so they can post it in the Stock section. The one you have to have sunglasses on to shoot on a sunny day,I think you know which one i'm talking about without giving away to many details.
I still don't have my rear rest but will see you the Sunday after Thanksgiving.Bert has that gun shooting very well but Ken is no slouch either. Will you guys be shooting monday before thanksgiving or not?

I believe they will be shooting the monday before Thanksgiving.I always check with Ed before I go,The only regulars I've seen there on Monday are Ed E.,Bob D.,and Ken.So if something comes up,they may not practice that day.I don't want to make a 150 mile round trip for nothing.
