Has anyone tried using the 7MM BR brass and necking down to 6MM for the 6BR IMP round's? I see they say to neck up to 6.5 then down to 6 to create a false shoulder, is it feasible to use the 7MM BR?

Sounds like a logical plan - if you want to use R-P brass. There are some minor differences in the dimensions of Lapau vs. R-P; also, R-P has a std. .080" flash hole, while Lapua has a .060". The reamer we've been using is set up for a .274" neck, which works well with Lapua. Since 7BR brass comes only from R-P as far as I know, you'd need to work around the differences in neck wall thickness when ordering a reamer.

Another issue with the Rem 7BR brass is that it is .040" shorter than the Lapua 6BR brass. This was the original length for the BR case when Remington released it.
