I just discovered this web site today and I am quite happy about it.

Very intersting, more information than I can digets in a day and high quality.

I am a french shooter and since about a month the very happy owner of a 6 Norma BR Tanner rifle !

my bets congratulation t*o all folks involved in this site and for the very high level of interest of it0.

I cut here for the introductions and congratiulations and I just would put one quetsion and ask wher in the site I could find an answer : my loading is now made of lapua shell,a Lapua Scenar molycoated 105 grains bullet, and VIHTA N 150 30 grains load in order to shoot on a 300 meters range.

Has anybody any experience to share about it or some advice on the matter ?

There is a wealth of information on the 6BR. Take time to read or translate the posts and most of your questions will be answered.

I am envious of your Tanner. They are the epitome of quality rifle building. I have inspected several Tanner .22 rimfires and one 300 m std rifle, but I have never seen a Tanner 300m free rifle. I hope to some day.

Jacque,

Welcome to 6mmBR.com. You'll want to contact DANTEC in France. He regularly posts here.

Get some good pictures of that Tanner rifle. We'd probably like to feature it as a Gun of the Week at some point. From fancy wood varmint rifles to high-tech all-metal space guns, we like to show the full spectrum of 6BR equipment.

Also, we have one request (and this goes for other site users as well)--help our site grow by suggesting to other websites that they link to us. That helps the search engines like Google rank 6mmBR.com so it is easier to find. Even one new link helps!

OK, I'll try to get somme shots of the weapon ; but it's quite a piece of museum : it has been manufactured by Tanner in 1972 and I am its Nth owner ! The barrel is a recent one and has just about 2500 rounds in it ! I am looking for the best loads, one for 300 yards , one for long range !

I use only 105 grains Lapua Scenar molly bullets, and I have tested N150 and N140 powders ; it seems to me taht the N140 is the best but I have still to check the best load and primer ; I think I will use CCI BR4 primers and I am testing loads of N 140 of 31 grains and 29 grains !

If somebody has got a good advice based on his own esperience, I would welcome it !

I had in december the good surprise to shoot up to 850 meters and to get a group of 10 by 12 inches with no wind ; a second try with 15 mph irregular wind from 03h00 was not at all so good !

Good shooting for everyone !

ALAIN
