I guess the "No!!!" is easy enough to understand. I have read as much as I can find about bushing the bolt for shooting the 6mmbr. Some say it is necessary others, do not. Is it correct to count on a bushed remington action being dedicated completely to the br family of cases, 22, 6, 30br? If the remington has to be dedicated action are there any custom actions that can be swapped from the br cases using the small primers to calibers using large primers?

Dino,

I think that Keith meant that there are no problems to be expected when switching to a caliber that uses a large rifle primer. I don't think your bushed 700 needs to be dedicated to the BR.

The reason for bushing the firing pin is to get more surface area under the primer for better support. Some of the factory guns have bigger pins than others and as the 6BR shooting heavy bullets and if using Varget as your powder,it tends to like higher pressure to get a clean efficient burn. The problem is those big pins don't support the primer and it ends up protruding out due to the pressure.
Once your pin is turned to 0.0625 and the boltface is bushed it will shoot anything you want without problems.
