Ackley Im,
I have used 28" 7HV Shilen and 28" Krieger #17's with good success from trued 700's. I know of people using up to 30"
barrels.
One thing to consider, when using long heavy barrels, is to
epoxy the first 2" of the barrel.
If you are going to use it for under 500y/m, consider a 12-twist. If you are going out to 1000, go 7.5 or 8-twist.
