I am currently building an XTC high power rifle using the tubegun kit see link below. To use the kit you must have a short action rem. 700 action, and from there just put it together. I am using a Kreiger 1-12 twist barrel already chambered for 6BR, but I will have to have a reamer run inside because I want a .272 neck to not have to turn necks. Here is the Tube Gun Kit link http://www.tubegun.net/ check it out because it is a great alternative to other similiar rifles that cost three times as much. Thanks-Major redfeather.

This thread was previously posted in the reloading forum. It fits better in the main message boards and the posts were identical, so they have been consolidated here. DANTEC replied:

no need 0.272 for NO turn neck , I use 0.271 ( original Norma drawing ) and that work perhaps 0.270 works too if you check ammo before chambering .

REM 700 need /MUST be blue print if you doesn t want to have funny groups

good shooting
