Is the Polar action a single shot?

Shooter,

We tried to answer your email to Mailbox@6mmBR.com but your AOL email server denied access. Here was our reply:

The action you high lighted is said to be a Stolle Polar.I own a Stolle Teddy.I thought the Polar was a repeater for hunter class competition. Am I wrong and the Polar is a single shot action? Thanks RK

You may be thinking of the Stolle Kodiak:

"The standard Kodiak model is designed for the Hunter benchrest class. It is smaller in cross-section than the Panda and contains a magazine port that will accept a small Remington 700 type of magazine. The Long Kodiak was developed to allow extraction of a live 7mm Mag. or similar length cartridge. This action will accept a long Remington 700 magazine. Both actions have an integral recoil lug and are available with or without a magazine."

The Polar is not made anymore. It is possible it was configured at one time as a repeater. We've never seen that, but Stolle could have made a few. You can send email to Bounty Hunter and ask him about the action. Send us an email address to which we can reply and we will put you in touch with Bounty Hunter.

I do not claim to be the expert on the Polar. From what I have been told it was only made for a few years and less than 1000 actions made in total. Just too expensive to make for the limited sales it generated.

Single shot large bedding area for the unlimited BR guns. Aluminum body with steel insert. No ejector, but I added one to mine. Bolt is smaller in diameter than standard stolle made now.

Like I said, kind of unique and fun idea to build a gun on.
