DANTEC: Can you suggest starting and max loads for N133 for the 6mm BR. I bought some a while back and have not had much luck with it. At the time I was going by loads for the 6mm PPC. I am new to this board and was thinking of switching to Varget, but I may as well use up the N133!
Thanks, peter.

N133 is OK in powder density for 6 PPC but a bit not enought to get right loading density in bigger case same bullet weight , best is to try N135 wich is accuarte in 6 BR and a slower so able to get a better loading density

I have not test ( foreign powdere are closely fordiden in france ) but H4895 can be fine too for 6 BR light bullet

only problem with slower powder in BR is muzzle flash but 4895 burning rate aera is not 50 BMG powder or super mag powder so that canbe agood combo for pure accuracy

carefully try two or three primer brand for each powder , some powder brand works better following primer brand in use

basic trial is
first step : make load dev as soon as you are close to a sweet spot
second step : you just swich primer and make two groups of 5 shots test to compare gain in primer

good shooting

George, with the .825 long 68's I've had the best luck with N135 at the 32.5-33.0 range. This is a pretty stout load and with the bullets jammed, my 3 groove Lilja works best at high pressures.

Be advised that the latest lots of N135 run slower than pre-2001 lots and that later N133 is slower than previous N133. A 'slow' N133 may perform very similarly to a 'fast' N135.

Overall, my 1:14 6BR likes the shorter jacketed 65's jammed hard with a bunch of pressure behind 'em. Different throat dimensions and barrel groove widths may certainly change this in other applications, but I would start with your 68's jammed to make a mark 1/2 as long as the mark is wide, neck size with a button .002-.003 under what a loaded round measures over the pressure ring, Federal 205M's and 31-31.5 of N135.

Hope this helps.
